CD Release!

Its been a long time coming, but Straight Outta Comicon is happy to announce our first comedy album. Episode IV: A Nerd Hope is a collection of comedy sketches too big to fit into our stage show, our new Jedi Vs Sith rap battles and of course our signature number “Straight Outta Comicon.”

We will be unveiling the CD this week at our Wichita State University show, and then it’ll be available for ordering and downloading!

In other news, our local fans showed up in force for our bash at Tabletop Games last month.  Infact, the response was so big that Tabletop is hosting us every other month to bring our home base fans the opportunity to new sketches, comedy and songs before anyone else.  Our next event there will be April 12th.

In other other news, we are lining up the 2013 spring/summer/fall schedule still.  If you want us in your city get on your favorite convention’s website or facebook page and tell them you want us there!

Home Show Set For January!

Having been doing our show on the road for cons this past year, we realized it’s been a while since we had a home show.  Sure there was Con X, but we had been looking to put together a one night party outside of a con.  Our friends at Tabletop Game and Hobby (also known as the jawa run store we rob in the music video) have stepped up and are turning their game room into a stage and show room on Januray 18th for our homecoming.  In celebration, its going to be a free show and will feature some new bits for the show, a costume contest, and all the other geeky stuff we are already known for.  We’re very excited to hold our very own home bash, so make sure you come down!

Straight Outta Comicon’s Matt Keck finished his first novel, Shift.  Word on the street is that its the first of a several, so go give it a look-see here.

In other news, hope everyone’s holidays are going well.  We are working on a few little things before we get locked and loaded for our new tour started in March.  With a warm up show in Kansas City on an unspecified day in January and a visit to Wichita State University for a show February 15th.

Remember you can keep up with us at our respective facebook and youtube channels too.
